Testosterone - Maculinizing GAHT

Transgender Males and Masculine Leaning Nonbinary, adults and adolescents are often prescribed TESTOSTERONE, a common form of Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy (GAHT).  

Unlike the reversible changes associated with hormone blockers, TESTOSTERONE has some temporary and many permanent and irreversible outcomes:

1. Deepening of Voice
2. Face and Body Hair
3. Baldness depending on family history of hair loss
4. Muscle mass possible (with strength training)
5. Redistribution of body fat
6. Infertility (loss of ability to conceive biological children).

Before beginning GAHT, Fertility Preservation is recommended to reserve the option of future fertility.
